What can I say.......when it's time to be on the chain gang I love On The Border! Customer service is normally reliable and the fish tacos are delish. But.........there is always a but......This particular establishment completely forgot about our group when seating and our fifteen minute wait turned into and hour.

Had a delicious salad today called the Texas cobb. Satsfying wiyhout feeling too full; which is good in summertime! Also, my favorite server Jazmin is so nice and friendly!

I was really enjoying my meal, until I found the hair. Can't really comment in the rest of the meal since my discovery pretty much ruined my appetite.

We saw several warnings about poor and slow service but decided to try it anyway. The service was so slow that we were never waited on and we noticed the people around us had empty glasses and we're waiting for refills so we decided to leave and go elsewhere

This was my first time at this location...the customer service sucks! The hostesses forgot to sit us. Which I guess they were busy talking to each other. I requested to sit on the patio, and they kept trying to inform me that I wouldn't sit out there any sooner into its my turn that's totally pissed me off. The weather was great...thats the only reason we requested it. However, the waitress Tammy was great!! She was on top of everything and our food was perfect :)

Well - its a chain - so my expectations were low - it was a Friday night - we were a party of 20 my expectations were even lower - we all wanted separate checks - and that did it in - lets just say I was the most surprised when the drinks came out quickly and with a smile, they were right too - the food came out hot and fast - which I was even more surprised about! The new fish tacos were great - love the sauce you get with them - of course the rice and beans were ok too. The fish tacos reminded me of a place I used to go to in Mexico City. Service was good, fast adn friendly, checks came out and it didn't take long to get them all paid either. I was surprised there was no automatic gratuity on the bill since the group was so big. I made sure the server that I had got a good tip!

No pitcher this time. Here for Happy hour. $4.00 18oz Margs. And apps. Yummy. Not sure why others give a bad review of this place. I have come to this location every three months for the last few years. Never had a bad visit.

I went to this establishment with my parents. It was my first time to go to On the Border and I can say it was officially my last time. When we went it was fairly busy. Hard to get our waiter at times, but with how busy it was that seemed okay. Food didn't take long, but I have never in my life ever called back waitstaff to say it was horrible, until this time. I found guts I never thought I had!!!! Both my father and I had the cheese enchiladas. I felt like I was biting into a rubber tire that just driven over salt. WAY to salty. WAY to CHEWY. Mexican food isn't supposed to be that way. Well, thankfully I found my inner voice and said no, I am not going to pay and eat food that was like that. Management did take off our orders from our bill, but after that I just didn't want to eat anything else. On the plus side, I did get a Pina Colada. Very good, and the only reason for the extra star. I guess you can say I needed the alcohol to calm my nerves.

My husband likes this place so we used to go. Very nice looking on the outside, great location on high priced land. Very easy in and out lot. I think my husband liked the huge portions. For me, the food was overly salty and tasted like everything was fried in the same old grease. Nice atmosphere and location ,quick service but too noisy. Reminds me of indigestion.

Went to On the Border for an appetizer & something to drink @ 8 p.m. The weather was perfect so my wife & I wanted to sit outside. We are usually reluctant to go for the outside seating because that's where the smokers are. I had a Corona & she had a margarita. The beer wasn't cold enough & the margarita was weak but we were enjoying the nice weather so much it didn't matter. Attitude is everything. We shared a mixed up combo type appetizer that was pretty good. The quality of the food seems better @ OTB than most of the twenty-something authenic mexican restaurants we have in Hot Springs. Good waiter so I' giving them a 3.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
